Bedworth Point Oh So Nearly Three

United concede late in game to draw after hard-working performance

After a dramatic start to the game United were pegged back late on to draw at high-flying Biggleswade Town, a match that saw both sides battling to get a stranglehold on the game with neither dominant.
Straight from the kick-off Bedworth drove forward with Jak Jeys getting the better of Josh Urqhuart down the flank and driving towards the 18-yard box the ball eventually finding its way to Ryan Baldwin who from seven-yards gave Sam Donkin in the home goal no chance with a crisp finish high into the net.
The Greenbacks pegged the home side back and Daniel Dubidat crossed for Jak Jeys to finish from 14-yards but the diminutive Jeys fluffed his lines as he rushed his shot.
The home side's rushed play failed to cause problems to a strong United defence and on the break Alex Troke was inches away from setting in Daniel Dubidat in fact the closest The Waders came to a shot on target was when 34th minute sub Brett Donnelly scooped a shot from only nine-yards over the crossbar.
Late in the half Soloman Nwaboukei found space right on the edge of Bedworth's box but from a central area he skied a powerful drive wide and high. (HT 0-1)
Biggleswade came out strongly in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd-period and pressured a solid United defence, a couple of corners saw no real chances created.
A counter attacking Bedworth were now reliant on Baldwin breaking from wide, he combined with Dubidat who lacked a finish after good work.
Back came the home side, with chances falling to Jonny McNamara, Matt Ball and Pierre Dubois, none converted as they found Daniel Crane (GK) in no mood to be beaten.
As the game entered the final 10 minutes it was looking good for Bedworth, they had shown great grit and determination and Biggleswade now started to go long, a last ditch challenge fom Luke Rowe halted Clark in his tracks as he raced clear after a punt over the top.
With the clock ticking towards 85 minutes a slice of luck saw The Waders draw level Donelly's flick-on saw it ricochet to Peter Clark to nod home from 6-yards to make it 1-1.
After good battling by Iyseden Christie a strong run by Daniel Dubidat saw him flash an angled drive just past the far post with Donkin stranded with 3 minutes left.
In the 4th minute of five added Baldwin tried a shot from distance with his effort rising high off target. (FT 1-1)
